How To Reach Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, famous as the ‘Temple City of India’, boasts of hundreds of temples displaying excellent architecture. Bhubaneswar Airport, more commonly known as Biju Patnaik International Airport and Bhubaneswar Railway Station are the nearest airbase and railhead, respectively, serving the capital city of Odisha. Besides, Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) and private buses provide regular services from nearby places such as Berhampur, Cuttack, Konark, Sambalpur and Puri, to name a few.

Bhubaneswar Airport or Biju Patnaik International Airport, around 6 km away from the city centre, connects this historical city with rest of the country via a network of flights. There are regular flights for Bhubaneswar from cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam operated by Air India, GoAir and IndiGo. Air India Regional also offers flights to Port Blair from here. From the airport, travellers can avail taxi/bus services to reach Bhubaneswar.
By Train
Bhubaneswar Railway Station, situated at a distance of around 5 km, is the main railhead connecting the city with several Indian cities. There are frequent superfast trains available from Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and several other major destinations in India. Some prominent trains that pass through this station regularly are Falaknuma Express, Howrah Mail, Visakha Express and Howrah Puri Passenger. You can take private cabs or opt for taxis from the station to reach anywhere in the city.
By Road
The city of Bhubaneswar enjoys good connectivity with other parts of the country by national highways and roads. The main bus station at Baramunda is around 5 km from the city centre. Regular bus services are available for cities like Konark, Puri, Sambalpur, Cuttack, Paradip and Rourkela. Besides, frequent interstate buses are available between Kolkata and Puri that travel via Bhubaneswar. You can also drive to Puri (60 km away) from Bhubaneswar, taking NH 203; the journey takes a little more than an hour.
