There are frequent superfast trains available from Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and several other major destinations in India. Some prominent trains that pass through this station regularly are Falaknuma Express, Howrah Mail, Visakha Express and Howrah Puri Passenger. You can take private cabs or opt for taxis from the station to reach anywhere in the city.
The city of Bhubaneswar enjoys good connectivity with other parts of the country by national highways and roads. The main bus station at Baramunda is around 5 km from the city centre. Regular bus services are available for cities like Konark, Puri, Sambalpur, Cuttack, Paradip and Rourkela. Besides, frequent interstate buses are available between Kolkata and Puri that travel via Bhubaneswar. You can also drive to Puri (60 km away) from Bhubaneswar, taking NH 203; the journey takes a little more than an hour.
